Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work A Seated Prophet With Arm Raised by Francesco Primaticcio. The price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,962.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Primaticcio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Allegorical Figure Of Prudence in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 349,250.00 (€ 400,816.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Seated Prophet With Arm Raised von Francesco Primaticcio zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.962,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Primaticcio erzielen.
