In January 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work A Seated Prophet With Arm Raised by Francesco Primaticcio. The »bidding war« ended at USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,037.04), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Primaticcio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Allegorical Figure Of Prudence in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 349,250.00 (€ 400,816.62).

Im Januar 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Seated Prophet With Arm Raised von Francesco Primaticcio zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 12.037,04) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Primaticcio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Allegorical Figure Of Prudence im Juli 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 349.250,00 (€ 400.816,62).
