Auction result fails to reach estimate
In January 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work “Veduta interna della Sagrosanta Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano o sia Costantiniana..” by Francesco Panini for DKK 550.00 (€ 480.69). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 2,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Panini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View Of The Interior Of St. Peter'S, Rome in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 27,777.78).

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Panini erzielen.
