Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Interior Of A Palace by Francesco Panini was sold in the Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolors Including an Important Canadian Collection and a Distinguished Private Collection auction at Christies in New York in January 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,140.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Francesco Panini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View Of The Interior Of St. Peter'S, Rome in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 27,777.78).
