Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Nuns At A Choir Practice by Francesco Bergamini for USD 19,120.00 (€ 9,681.01). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art including Barbizon, Realist and at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Bergamini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Disobedient Pupil, which sold at auction in June 2008 for USD 31,250.00 (€ 19,843.79).
