Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Italian preparing For The Dance by Francesco Ballesio was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2013. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,691.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Ballesio - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Italian Odalisque, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 24,500.00 (€ 31,165.07).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.691,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Francesco Ballesio mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Italian Odalisque beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 24.500,00 (€ 31.165,07) versteigert wurde.
