Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Masters, which included the work Toilet Of Venus by Francesco Albani. It changed hands for a price of USD 75,000.00 (€ 66,779.45) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Francesco Albani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Holy Family In A Landscape in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 236,750.00 (€ 276,799.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Masters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Toilet Of Venus von Francesco Albani zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 66.779,45) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francesco Albani auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Holy Family In A Landscape im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 236.750,00 (€ 276.799,16).
