Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work The Holy Family with Saints Elizabeth and John the Baptist by Francesco Albani for USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,411.47). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Albani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Holy Family In A Landscape in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 236,750.00 (€ 276,799.16).
