The work The Death of Adonis by Francesco Albani was sold in the Master Drawings from the Oppé Collection auction at Christies in London in December 2006. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,357.13), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Albani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Holy Family In A Landscape in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 236,750.00 (€ 276,799.16).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.357,13) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Albani erzielen.
