The work Sin and Syncope by France-Lise McGurn was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in March this year. It achieved a price of HKD 609,600.00 (€ 71,377.92), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 74%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by France-Lise McGurn; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Goya Eyes sold at auction in October 2021 with the realized price of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 103,663.87).

Die Arbeit Sin and Syncope von France-Lise McGurn wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 609.600,00 (€ 71.377,92) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 74%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von France-Lise McGurn; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Goya Eyes im Oktober 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 103.663,87).
