Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Nicotena on Rotting Log by Ford Ruthling for USD 125.00 (€ 88.13). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Ford Ruthling have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Straw Horse in March 2011 with an auction result of USD 687.50 (€ 484.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Nicotena on Rotting Log von Ford Ruthling für USD 125,00 (€ 88,13) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 400,00 – 600,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ford Ruthling auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Straw Horse im März 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 687,50 (€ 484,74).
