Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A view of the Noordeinde, The Hague by Floris Arntzenius was sold in the Old Masters & 19th Century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) auction at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2016. The price achieved of EUR 18,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Floris Arntzenius achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work De Spuistraat met gezicht naar het Plein, The Hague in October 2000 with an auction result of NLG 421,272.00 (€ 202,196.66).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 18.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Floris Arntzenius erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit De Spuistraat met gezicht naar het Plein, The Hague im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 421.272,00 (€ 202.196,66).
