Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two-seater sofa by Finn Juhl was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in November last year. The price achieved of HKD 119,700.00 (€ 14,853.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Finn Juhl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Early and rare 'Chieftain' armchair, model no. FJ 49 A in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,937,500.00 (€ 236,097.32).
