A top price for Finn Juhl - as previously expected
The work Early and rare 'Chieftain' armchair, model no. FJ 49 A by Finn Juhl was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Evening Sale auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in November 2016. It changed hands for a price of HKD 1,937,500.00 (€ 236,097.32) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Early and rare 'Chieftain' armchair, model no. FJ 49 A is the most expensive artwork by Finn Juhl that we have observed at auctions so far.
