Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in association with Yongle, which included the work Pair of armchairs by Finn Juhl. The price achieved of HKD 151,200.00 (€ 18,762.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Finn Juhl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Early and rare 'Chieftain' armchair, model no. FJ 49 A in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,937,500.00 (€ 236,097.32).
