Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Jubilee Stakes, Kempton Park, by George Finch Mason was sold in the Sporting Art and Dogs auction at Christies in London in June 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 528.75 (€ 817.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Finch Mason achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The London To Norwich Coach With A Hunt Beyond in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 5,975.00 (€ 8,595.01).

Die Arbeit The Jubilee Stakes, Kempton Park, von George Finch Mason wurde im Juni 2002 in der Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 528,75 (€ 817,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
