Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Italian in The Harem by Filippo Baratti was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2010. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,201.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Filippo Baratti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An oath of allegiance in the Hall of the Abencerrajes, Alhambra, Granada in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 59,750.00 (€ 92,419.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Italian in The Harem von Filippo Baratti kam im Juni 2010 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.201,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Filippo Baratti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An oath of allegiance in the Hall of the Abencerrajes, Alhambra, Granada im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 59.750,00 (€ 92.419,72).
