Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Untitled (Joy in the Field) by Fernando Cueto Amorsolo was worth HKD 1,502,500.00 (€ 158,481.19) to a buyer in December 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Art at Bonhams in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 400,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fernando Cueto Amorsolo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Maiden With Fruits, 1930, which sold at auction in March 2019 for HKD 4,975,625.00 (€ 564,565.93).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Joy in the Field) von Fernando Cueto Amorsolo war einem Käufer im Dezember 2020 HKD 1.502.500,00 (€ 158.481,19) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 400.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Fernando Cueto Amorsolo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Maiden With Fruits, 1930 beobachtet, die im März 2019 für HKD 4.975.625,00 (€ 564.565,93) versteigert wurde.
