Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bathers by Fernando Cueto Amorsolo was sold in the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. The price achieved of HKD 693,000.00 (€ 83,063.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 500,000.00 – 800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fernando Cueto Amorsolo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maiden With Fruits, 1930 in March 2019 with an auction result of HKD 4,975,625.00 (€ 564,565.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bathers von Fernando Cueto Amorsolo wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 693.000,00 (€ 83.063,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 500.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fernando Cueto Amorsolo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maiden With Fruits, 1930 im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.975.625,00 (€ 564.565,93).
