In May 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th and 21st Century Art Morning Session, which included the work Lavenderas by Fernando Cueto Amorsolo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 350,000.00 (€ 36,997.70), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernando Cueto Amorsolo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maiden With Fruits, 1930 in March 2019 with an auction result of HKD 4,975,625.00 (€ 564,565.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th and 21st Century Art Morning Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lavenderas von Fernando Cueto Amorsolo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 36.997,70) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernando Cueto Amorsolo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maiden With Fruits, 1930 im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.975.625,00 (€ 564.565,93).
