The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 118,921.19), 61% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Fernando Cueto Amorsolo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maiden With Fruits, 1930 in March 2019 with an auction result of HKD 4,975,625.00 (€ 564,565.93).

Die Arbeit Dinner In The Sun von Fernando Cueto Amorsolo wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion 20th and 21st Century Art Morning Session bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 118.921,19) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fernando Cueto Amorsolo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maiden With Fruits, 1930 im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.975.625,00 (€ 564.565,93).
