Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2005 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Fernando Canovas for USD 9,600.00 (€ 8,142.49). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Fernando Canovas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 55,000.00 (€ 49,393.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2005 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Fernando Canovas für USD 9.600,00 (€ 8.142,49) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fernando Canovas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 55.000,00 (€ 49.393,80).
