Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Sin Título by Fernando Canovas for USD 14,340.00 (€ 10,815.30). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 18,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Fernando Canovas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 55,000.00 (€ 49,393.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sin Título von Fernando Canovas für USD 14.340,00 (€ 10.815,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fernando Canovas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 55.000,00 (€ 49.393,80).
