This artwork by Fernand Khnopff achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2017. In the European Art auction, the work Étude De Femme sold for USD 21,250.00 (€ 17,860.14) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernand Khnopff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Belgian les Enfants De Monsieur Neve in May 2013 with an auction result of GBP 422,500.00 (€ 493,968.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fernand Khnopff erzielte im November 2017 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion European Art wurde die Arbeit Étude De Femme für USD 21.250,00 (€ 17.860,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernand Khnopff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Belgian les Enfants De Monsieur Neve im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 422.500,00 (€ 493.968,47).
