Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Fermín Aguayo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in June 2020. In the Art Contemporain Day Sale auction, the work La Liseuse sold for EUR 11,875.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Fermín Aguayo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Composition sold at auction in March 2015 with the realized price of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 12,097.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fermín Aguayo erzielte im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art Contemporain Day Sale wurde die Arbeit La Liseuse für EUR 11.875,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Fermín Aguayo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Composition im März 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 12.097,34).
