Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Standard Bearer by Ferdinand Roybet was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,260.76) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ferdinand Roybet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tambourine Girl in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 276,800.00 (€ 410,235.08).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Standard Bearer von Ferdinand Roybet kam im September 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.260,76) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ferdinand Roybet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tambourine Girl im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 276.800,00 (€ 410.235,08).
