This artwork by Ferdinand Roybet achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2019. In the Masterworks from the Estate of Lila and Herman Shickman auction, the work A Youth Singing sold for USD 87,500.00 (€ 78,482.38) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ferdinand Roybet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tambourine Girl in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 276,800.00 (€ 410,235.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ferdinand Roybet erzielte im Mai 2019 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Masterworks from the Estate of Lila and Herman Shickman wurde die Arbeit A Youth Singing für USD 87.500,00 (€ 78.482,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ferdinand Roybet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tambourine Girl im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 276.800,00 (€ 410.235,08).
