Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ferdinand Roybet could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in February 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction, the work French a Choice changed hands for USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,653.84) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ferdinand Roybet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tambourine Girl in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 276,800.00 (€ 410,235.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ferdinand Roybet konnte im Februar 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit French a Choice für USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.653,84) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ferdinand Roybet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tambourine Girl im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 276.800,00 (€ 410.235,08).
