This artwork by Ferdinand Roybet achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2018. In the European Art auction, the work French The Favorite Of The Harem sold for USD 56,250.00 (€ 48,200.51) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ferdinand Roybet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tambourine Girl in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 276,800.00 (€ 410,235.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ferdinand Roybet erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion European Art wurde die Arbeit French The Favorite Of The Harem für USD 56.250,00 (€ 48.200,51) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ferdinand Roybet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tambourine Girl im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 276.800,00 (€ 410.235,08).
