Auction result well in line with expectations
The work French a Game Of Cards by Ferdinand Roybet was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2010. The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 38,355.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ferdinand Roybet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tambourine Girl in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 276,800.00 (€ 410,235.08).
