The work Glistening Sea by Feodor Zakharov was sold in the Russian Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2009. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 33,650.00 (€ 37,958.38), 68% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Feodor Zakharov; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Football sold at auction in November 2007 with the realized price of GBP 36,500.00 (€ 51,109.44).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 33.650,00 (€ 37.958,38) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Feodor Zakharov; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Football im November 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 36.500,00 (€ 51.109,44).
