In March 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script by Feng Yuxiang. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,609.58), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Feng Yuxiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in Clerical Script in November 2018 with an auction result of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 49,379.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script von Feng Yuxiang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.609,58) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Feng Yuxiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy in Clerical Script im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 49.379,58).
