In October 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu by Feng Yuxiang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 175,000.00 (€ 16,161.18), 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Feng Yuxiang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy in Clerical Script, which sold at auction in November 2018 for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 49,379.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu von Feng Yuxiang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 16.161,18) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Feng Yuxiang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy in Clerical Script beobachtet, die im November 2018 für HKD 437.500,00 (€ 49.379,58) versteigert wurde.
