(10 3 ⁄ 4 x 9 1 ⁄ 8 in.) Entitled, inscribed and signed, with three seals of the artist Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Regular Script each scroll measures 45.5 x 10.7 cm. (17 7 ⁄ 8 x 4 1 ⁄ 4 in.) Signed, with two seals of the artist
Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Longevity and Harvest / Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Regular Script by Feng Yiyin was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in September last year, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 8,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at HKD 30,240.00 (€ 3,934.94). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Feng Yiyin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Album Of Figures, which sold at auction in October 2018 for HKD 94,400.00 (€ 10,629.58).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Longevity and Harvest / Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Regular Script von Feng Yiyin im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 8.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 30.240,00 (€ 3.934,94) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Für andere Arbeiten von Feng Yiyin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Album Of Figures beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für HKD 94.400,00 (€ 10.629,58) versteigert wurde.
