Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in association with Yongle, which included the work Feefy Head by Felix Treadwell. It changed hands for a price of HKD 113,400.00 (€ 14,072.01) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 90,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Felix Treadwell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work London Girl, which sold at auction in October this year for HKD 406,400.00 (€ 49,146.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in association with Yongle durch, in der auch die Arbeit Feefy Head von Felix Treadwell zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 113.400,00 (€ 14.072,01) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 90.000,00 – 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Felix Treadwell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit London Girl beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für HKD 406.400,00 (€ 49.146,40) versteigert wurde.
