Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work General View of Sycamores And Encampment of A Caravan Bound For Sennar. Korosko., 1851-52 by Félix Teynard was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2005, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,762.95). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Félix Teynard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Karnak (Thèbes), Palais - Salle Hypostyle - Vue Transversale Prise du Point K in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 105,000.00 (€ 96,374.48).

Als die Arbeit General View of Sycamores And Encampment of A Caravan Bound For Sennar. Korosko., 1851-52 von Félix Teynard im November 2005 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.762,95) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Félix Teynard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Karnak (Thèbes), Palais - Salle Hypostyle - Vue Transversale Prise du Point K im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 105.000,00 (€ 96.374,48).
