Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Felix Kelly achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March last year. In the Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale auction, the work Mississippi Ghosts sold for GBP 21,420.00 (€ 25,395.82) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Felix Kelly; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Brighton sold at auction in July 2013 with the realized price of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,710.17).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Felix Kelly erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Mississippi Ghosts für GBP 21.420,00 (€ 25.395,82) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Felix Kelly; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Brighton im Juli 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.710,17).
