Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Felix Kelly achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in April 2019. In the Modern | British & Irish Art auction, the work Windsor Plantation, Mississippi sold for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,995.22) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Felix Kelly; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Brighton sold at auction in July 2013 with the realized price of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,710.17).
