Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Out hunting by Félix Janse was sold in the SPORTING ART AND DOGS auction at Christies in London in November 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,112.50 (€ 6,721.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Félix Janse have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2006 the work Promenade sur la Place de la Concorde was auctioned for USD 15,600.00 (€ 11,820.87).
