Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2001 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work The race meeting by Félix Janse. The price achieved of GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,804.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Félix Janse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Promenade sur la Place de la Concorde in December 2006 with an auction result of USD 15,600.00 (€ 11,820.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit The race meeting von Félix Janse zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.762,50 (€ 2.804,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Félix Janse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Promenade sur la Place de la Concorde im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.600,00 (€ 11.820,87).
