Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Notturno a Capri by Felice Giordano was auctioned at Il Ponte in June this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 450.00 – 550.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Felice Giordano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Capri, notturno a Marina Piccola in November 2002 with an auction result of EUR 8,680.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Notturno a Capri von Felice Giordano im Juni diesen Jahres bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 450,00 – 550,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 400,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Felice Giordano erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Capri, notturno a Marina Piccola im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.680,00.
