Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2007 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Photography, which included the work Vue D'Un Parc, Circa 1860 by Felice Beato. It changed hands for a price of EUR 4,933.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 4,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Felice Beato achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Lucknow', 1858. An Album Of 75 Photographs Documenting The Aftermath Of The Mutiny Of 1857 in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 96,500.00 (€ 122,752.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2007 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Photography durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vue D'Un Parc, Circa 1860 von Felice Beato zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 4.933,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Felice Beato erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Lucknow', 1858. An Album Of 75 Photographs Documenting The Aftermath Of The Mutiny Of 1857 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.500,00 (€ 122.752,22).
