Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas, which included the work Lyrics By Mao Tse-Tung In Running Script by Fei Xinwo. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 34,500.00 (€ 3,987.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fei Xinwo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in September 2015 for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,399.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2015 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lyrics By Mao Tse-Tung In Running Script von Fei Xinwo zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 34.500,00 (€ 3.987,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Fei Xinwo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im September 2015 für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.399,03) versteigert wurde.
