Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy by Fei Xinwo was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 23,750.00 (€ 2,754.56) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fei Xinwo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in September 2015 for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,399.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Fei Xinwo wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 23.750,00 (€ 2.754,56) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fei Xinwo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im September 2015 für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.399,03) versteigert wurde.
