This artwork by Fedor van Kregten achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2004. In the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Cows By A Stream In A Polder Landscape sold for EUR 2,151.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 900.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Fedor van Kregten; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A cow grazing in a meadow sold at auction in January 2001 with the realized price of NLG 5,875.00 (€ 2,570.79).
