This artwork by Federico Maldarelli achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2016. In the Living with Art auction, the work Reflections sold for USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,692.57) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Federico Maldarelli; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot An Allegory of Vanity sold at auction in June 2006 with the realized price of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,154.66).
