A top price for Federico Maldarelli - as previously expected
In June 2006 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures and a Symbolist Collection with a Richard Wagner section, which included the work An Allegory of Vanity by Federico Maldarelli. The price achieved of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,154.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, An Allegory of Vanity is the most expensive artwork by Federico Maldarelli that we have observed at auctions so far.
