Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale, which included the work Musicos indígenas by Federico Cantú. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 13,200.00 (€ 9,763.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Federico Cantú achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Federico Cantú (1908-1989) in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 99,806.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Musicos indígenas von Federico Cantú zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 13.200,00 (€ 9.763,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Federico Cantú erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Federico Cantú (1908-1989) im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 99.806,69).
