The »bidding war« ended at USD 22,500.00 (€ 15,318.63), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Federico Cantú have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Federico Cantú (1908-1989) in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 99,806.69).

Die Arbeit La Madre Y El Hijo von Federico Cantú wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 15.318,63) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Federico Cantú auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Federico Cantú (1908-1989) im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 99.806,69).
