Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Federico Andreotti achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2015. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work The Proposal sold for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 27,084.75) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Federico Andreotti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The young suitor in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 90,000.00 (€ 133,555.47).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Federico Andreotti erzielte im September 2015 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wurde die Arbeit The Proposal für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 27.084,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Federico Andreotti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The young suitor im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.000,00 (€ 133.555,47).
